What if my baby gets nappy rash?
Most babies get nappy rash at some stage, some are more prone that others due to having more sensitive skin. Nappy rash is commonly caused when a baby's skin is exposed to a wet or dirty nappy for too long. Leaving a wet nappy on a baby for long periods of time can lead to nappy rash Symptoms may include rash, blistering and ulcers. The best form of prevention include more frequent nappy changes, use of a gentle barrier cream and avoiding skin irritants such as soap and some wipes. Severe nappy rash or a persistent rash needs prompt medical attention for peace of mind.
How does your nappy perform?
Brilliantly, the bamboo, corn and SAP lock the moisture away. We use a high quality SAP (Super Absorbent Polymer) which is commonly used in many nappies. SAP has a variety of applications, one being water retention for plants. The cellular structure of the bamboo and corn both has excellent absorbent qualities. All of these elements work toward locking the moisture away from your baby’s bottom.
Are Eco Nappies safe to use on babies with sensitive skin?
Yes, the bamboo top sheet has natural anti-bacterial and non-allergenic properties so this may be the best nappyou can find for babies with sensitive skin.
How do I dispose of your nappies?
Firstly, empty the solid waste into the toilet and roll the nappy up, fastening tabs to keep tight, and do not put in a plastic bag. Place it in your wheelie bin where it has the opportunity to biodegrade in landfill.
How often do I need to change my baby?
We have fitted a wetness indicator to every Eco Nappy so just check this often as it is designed to help you manage your time and your baby’s comfort. So once the wetness indicator shows ¾ colour change to green it’s time.
Where are your nappies made?
Eco Nappies are manufactured in China, being the leading producers of bamboo.
What makes your nappy eco?
The primary materials in the nappy are organic or neutral; meaning non-toxic. The bamboo and corn used for absorbency biodegrades in a matter of months and the perforated P.E back sheet breaks down in under 12mths. We know that “it’s still plastic” and we are working on it.
